The MAN E 0836 system is an electric generator
that is run on a gaseous biofuel (biogas) and is intented for the powering a neighbourhoood to a village. The engine used in the system is a gasoline engine with indirect injection.
This gaseous biofuel-based electricity generator is used for large electricity production (L) and is suitable for people in region 5 (R5). The amount of power generated is between 56 and 110kW. Note that an alternator is allready attached to this unit. Also, no additional T-junction and butterfly valve
needs to be added (otherwise replacing the carburettor).
Note that electricity production from gaseous biofuel can be requested at will/exactly when needed. As such, for effective use of the power, neither a link-up to the mains electricity grid + net metering nor an energy storage system needs to be foreseen.
This electricity generator can be used in combination with a biodigester, for example generating biogas using human waste.
